Amanda Leavitt

Operations Manager

Amanda has been a passionate advocate for children, families, and public education for more than a decade through her involvement with PTA. Her PTA journey began at the local unit level, where she served as a committee chair for several committees before stepping into leadership roles as secretary, vice president, and president. She later served on the Idaho PTA Board of Directors before joining the Idaho PTA staff as Operations Manager.

In her role as Operations Manager, Amanda works behind the scenes to help local PTAs thrive. She supports units with compliance and operations, manages Idaho PTA’s community partnerships and website, coordinates state events, and, most importantly, helps equip and support the incredible volunteers who give their time and energy to make a difference in their schools and communities.

Amanda’s commitment to education extends beyond PTA. She has worked as a substitute teacher and has seen firsthand the impact that engaged families, dedicated educators, and strong school communities can have on children. She is passionate about creating opportunities for every child to succeed and helping families feel supported along the way.

Outside of PTA, Amanda and her husband of 20 years are raising four children, all of whom attend public schools and keep the family busy with a myriad of activities. When she’s not working or cheering on her kids, Amanda can usually be found with a good book or enjoying the outdoors. She loves exploring National Parks, hiking, camping, whitewater rafting, and simply spending time in nature with her family.
