PTA's mission is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.

The Mission of the PTA is Threefold


♦ To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the
community, and before governmental bodies and other organizations that
make decisions affecting children; and
♦ To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their
children; and
♦ To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this

Our Purpose

♦ To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community
and place of worship.
♦ To raise the standards of home life.
♦ To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
♦ To bring into close relation the home and the school, that parents and
teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.
♦ To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as
will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical,
mental, social and spiritual education.


PTA Values

  • Collaboration: We will work in partnership with a wide array of individuals and organizations to broaden and enhance our ability to serve and advocate for all children and families.

  • Commitment: We are dedicated to children’s educational success, health, and well-being through strong family and community engagement, while remaining accountable to the principles upon which our association was founded.

INCLUSIVITY STATEMENT Of the Idaho Congress of Parents and Teachers, Inc.
The Idaho PTA includes and strives to involve all adults, youth and children without regard
to mental/ physical health, socio-economic status, educational background, multi-cultural
heritage, religious, political, business community affiliations, non-traditional family,
structure, or geographic location. In order to unite the forces of home, school and
community in behalf of children and youth.
