Standards of Affiliation

🧰 Running a Healthy PTA

Yes, there are requirements—but you're not in this alone. Idaho PTA is here to walk beside you with tools, timelines, and encouragement every step of the way.

These steps protect your unit, your volunteers, and the mission we all share: every child. one voice.

✅ Required: Annual Standards of Affiliation (SOA) Checklist

To remain in good standing, every Idaho PTA unit must complete the following 5 steps each year. This ensures your unit stays eligible for statewide programs like Reflections, awards and grants, and access to leadership support and training.

#1 – Submit Your Local Unit Board List

Due June 1
Keep your PTA connected and supported by submitting your board roster and updating your Registered Agent with the Secretary of State. Idaho PTA transitioned to Givebacks to manage the Standards of Affiliation process.
If you have never logged into Givebacks, use this link.
If you have logged in to Givebacks, use this link to learn how to update your officer list.

#2 – Report Volunteer Service Hours

Due September 15
Local PTA units are required by Idaho PTA to report volunteer service hours annually. This reporting allows Idaho PTA, as the state association and umbrella organization for local units, to document the collective volunteer impact of PTA across Idaho, demonstrate the scope of activities carried out in support of its charitable mission, and maintain appropriate records of the activities of its constituent organizations.
